I finished the game again two days ago. Such a great game. It's been a while since the game's release, so let's talk about it one last time.
My xillia 2 entries have been a failure so far. Few views, none followed it when it was happening. As expected. It was a fun experiment, and I don't regret doing it. Was real nice to play through the game again without having to stop and write.
The game itself is, in my opinion, one of the greatest games of all time, and the best Tales game released yet. While it doesn't exactly stand as its own game, it's more than a worthy successor to xillia 1. It does everything the first one did right, but better. Words can't describe how thankful I am for this game. It's the first good direct sequel to an RPG since Kingdom hearts 2. The reception has been lukewarm so far, and it hasn't sold well. Most stuff I like tend to flop, anyway, so I'm used to it. Makes me sad that there won't be a Xillia 3, and yet kinda not.
If you're reading this and haven't bought the game yet, do so!
I slandered Michelle Ruff in many of my xillia 2 entries. She was not in this game, it's someone with a similar voice but isn't as overrated and is a bit more talented. Milla doesn't have a new voice actress, it's the same one but she's actually trying this time. I will edit the entries to fix this. My apologies to Michelle Ruff. I still don't enjoy her acting, mostly, but I was a bit unfair to her this time. Credit to Milla for giving a crap now.
Also, here's an updated list of all Tales games I've finished ranked in the order of how much I liked them.
1. Tales of xillia 2
2. Tales of vesperia PS3
3. Tales of symphonia PS3
4. Tales of xillia
5. Tales of graces f
6. Tales of the abyss
7. Tales of phantasia SNES
Dawn of the new world doesn't count, since it's an escort title and not a mothership one.
I've happened to see two movies since last entry; Expendables 3 and Sin city: A dame to kill for. Expendables 3 was the same classic ependable stuff, nothing new or original. Solid acting for its genre, though. If you like the first two, you won't be disappointed.
Sin city is VERY underrated to me. I'd say it's as good as the first one, same glorious violence and brilliant style the comic is famed for. It's truly like watching a comic come to life. It has flopped both commercially and critically, and I can't see what that's about. It's based on my favorite Sin city story, for crying out loud! It might be because it's 9 years late (Rest in peace, Brittany Murphey and Michael Clarke Duncan), and because Frank Miller has turned into a full-blown nazi. And The spirit. I seriously can't stand Frank Miller as a person, as he's too racist and sexist, but he has written good stories. The dark knight returns was really enjoyable, and Sin city is perfect for him, since he created a universe where violence and sexism actually works. It's even surprisingly colorblind, apart from stuff like the only asian use asia themed weaponry (speaking of, didn't Miho cut that big cyclops in half? Why was he shot by Ava? Did he survive and got sliced later? Whatevs). Frank Miller's strong point has always been his use of black and white. His particular choice of negative space is great. Even if his characters are very square-y at times. The bad thing is that he never stopped writing Sin city. Not to mention the fact that he's an expert of loop dialog. All that said, I still really enjoy Sin city, both the comics and movies, as it reminds me of a time when Frank was still mentaly sane (and possibly CLOSET racist and not open about it). I recommend the film Sin city: A dame to kill for. It's still the same dark, violent and messed up stuff the series is famed for. If you want to see Frank Miller at his best, check out Sin city. For his worst, Holy terror.
Also, the AVGN movie was ok at best. 8 years for an almost 2 hour long movie with a 4 minute review at the very end during the credit roll. Pass. Enjoyable and still funny apart from that, though. Doug Walker's cameo made me laugh.
That is all for now.

Breath of fire 4 is still great!
It's been over 20 years, and this game holds up in just about every department except the 3D. Let me start from the beginning. Personally, I only played 3 and 2 back when they were still relatively new. Don't think I tried out 4 until like 6 years ago or so. While I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, it's definitely overlooked. I'm reluctant to talk about the story since it's one of the game's strong points. It has few good twists and turns and is one of the earlier examples of a sympathetic villain. It even has a twist that I did not see coming, though maybe a bit obvious in hindsight is still the right amount of dark and messed up. Let's look at the bad stuff. It takes forever to really get going. You begin with Nina and Cray in a desert, they flee from the sand dragon, come across Ryu, and then the story very slowly develop. And I do mean slowly. Originally, I didn't really get into the game due to its slow start and I kinda quit after a while. Glad I gave it another shot later.
The resurgence of Silent hill and Konami
Remember #FucKonami and how it was ok to hate them for nearly 10 years? Why should the announcement of a remake of Silent hill 2 undo that? It's not like they apologized or have made up for their mistakes. Hell, the remake is seemingly not even gonna be developed by them but a different company that happened to want to remake one of their classic games! Do not give shitty publishers even a cent, and most importantly, not a minute of your time.
Thoughts on every Ladybug season 5 episode!
Season 1: Season 2: Season 3: Season 4: Season 5: WARNING: MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Though I'll try to keep them brief. Evolution Another great start to a season! Pretty much exactly what I wanted and more. Unlike season 2, here we begin with Gabriel losing. Good contrast. While it makes sense that he'd start with the bunny miraculous, time travel episodes tend to be a bit iffy. However, this was done pretty well, since the reason Gabriel lost was because he was only thinking about beating Ladybug and not actually bothering to change his life for the better. It's also the first time we see his wife other than a picture/archive footage/in coma. Multiplication Not sure why they jump around time wise. For example, there's a later episode with the scene where Adrien tells Gabriel that he doesn't want to do modeling anymore, and the next episode shows just what the hell happened in the midst of this one. The hell are those rings? Stay tuned! Lame. Anyway, this episode is
Cult of the lamb is the best roguelike yet
Not that I've tried a shitton of them, but it's my two cents on it. For people who suck at video games like me, it's nice that it's a lot more forgiving (especially late game) and had a good simulation aspect. Very recommended, but you've probably already tried it already.

You really dislike Michelle Ruff that much? Don't get me wrong I'm not a huge fan of her or anything and I've never really been impressed with her performances but I've never really heard a bad performance out of her either...in other words I really can't fathom having very strong opinions of her one way or the other.
